2025 TAMARIKI WILD GAME HUNT Welcome to our second annual kids hunting competition, The Tamariki Wild Game Hunt.  This is where you can enter online and buy your "tickets" as your official entry. ENTRY FEE: $10 STARTS: 3pm Thursday 3rd July FINISHES: 3pm Sunday 6th July (prizegiving to follow) WEIGH IN:  1- 3 pm Sunday 6th July   • Entries close Wednesday 8pm 2nd July – NO EXCEPTIONS.   Please read the following as this is where our official rules will be stated. By purchasing tickets you are agreeing to adhere to all competition rules, if you do not read the rules and find your animal/s are disqualified by our weigh masters at weigh in this will be at fault of the entrant. RULES AND TERMS Open to ages 16 years and under. • All competitors must be present at prize giving to claim their prize and/or spot prize • Hunting starts Thursday 3rd July 3pm, the competition and weigh-in closes at 3pm Sunday 6th July. Prize giving to follow  • All species to be caught during competition hours only • All species must be wild and living in natural habitat • No frozen species will be accepted • Deer and Pigs must have heads, ears (and nuts for stags and boars) left intact, gutted and cleaned of offal. Possums, Peacocks, Turkeys and Hares must be left whole and guts intact. Only Goat heads will be assesed for the spread. No whole goats to be presented at weigh in, only goat heads to be measured. • Officials reserve the right to earmark or tag (on the weigh station) any/all species weighed to avoid confusion as not all species will be hung on display • Judges decision is final • The judges reserve the right to withhold prize money on any doubtful entry • Minimum weight - Pigs 20kg, Deer 20kg • All protests to be investigated within 15 minutes of final weigh-in • The organisers and judges take no responsibility for damages, loss or injury incurred during this event • Species numbers per hunter: 2 red deer (hind or stag) 2 pigs (sow or boar) 1 hares 1 turkey 1 goat head 1 peacock weighed in, unlimited numbers for most peacocks prize 1 possum weighed in, unlimited numbers for most possums prize. Possums must be whole and unplucked to be counted • Only the entered hunter is to catch and present the species at weigh-in and must be present at the prizegiving to be eligible for prizes, including spot prizes • Each hunter to weigh in all their species at the same time • In the event of a draw, the first animal weighed in will claim the prize • No species will be weighed in if it smells off or is deemed not fit for human consumption • Only red deer are to be weighed • Ground hunting methods only • Weigh-in time - 1-3pm Sunday 6th July If you are not in line and acknowledged by the marshall before the weigh-in closes,at 3pm, you will not be eligible to weigh your species. Kia Ora! Welcome to the Te Puka Hunting & Fishing clubs annual Fishing Competiton. This year we are running a BEACH ONLY comp.  Please see official comp RULES below. 2025 TE PUKA BEACH FISHING COMPETITION RULES    All participants enter this competition at their own risk, the Te Puka Hunting & Fishing Club Inc will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage to any person or equipment Conservation and MAF rules apply. Measurement taken from nose to inner “v” in tail.  Registration - $20 members, $30 non-members and $10 Junior and Intermediate. Junior is up to 10yrs and Intermediate 11-16yrs. This fee is for the 2 days of fishing but still applies if you fish one day only. Junior and Intermediate participants can have help casting their lines but MUST land their own fish on the beach. A more “able person” can cast the rod or line in for another person but to qualify for a prize, you must land your own fish. All lines (rod/hand) must be cast by hand, no apparatus to be used for this purpose. One rod per ticket. If you want to fish with more than one rod you will need to purchase additional tickets. Tickets are unlimited per person You must be able to show proof of your ticket/tickets when weighing fish  Participants are to use rods and hand lines only – only 2 hooks or less will be permitted on any line or rig?????  Marshals will randomly ask to see competitors receipt number for rod(s) You may not use apparatus such as a gaff or landing net for landing of fish Marshals will be patrolling the fishing areas regularly, if there are any breaches of rules by anglers these should be reported, as it is in your interest to report any actions that are not true in the spirit of this competition  Any contestant fishing outside the designated areas during the competition hours will be disqualified.  Beach Fishing can only be carried out between Awhina Boat Ramp (Te Puka Tavern) which is the Northern Fishing Boundary and Mihimarino  (just past last house at end of Waiotu Road, Ongaruru, South East Fishing Boundary). Marshalls will be patrolling the beach all day to weigh and record fish, however there will be a weigh station available at Te Puka Tavern if you require.  FISHING HOURS: Day One:        Lines in 5.00am, lines out 8pm                           Day Two:        Lines in 5.30am, lines out by 3.30pm (last fish weighed at 3.30)  Weighing your fish down on the beach will close at 8pm on Day One and 3.30pm on Day Two  Weigh-masters decision is final  In the event, that insufficient fish are caught to satisfy all or any of the prizes listed, the prizes not won will remain the property of the Te Puka Hunting & Fishing Club Inc  Prize Giving will be held at Te Puka Tavern  on final day of fishing, 4.30pm. All winners must be present at the time of prize giving in order to collect their prize.  If you are not present at the time of prize giving the said prize remains the property of the Te Puka Hunting & Fishing Club Inc
