2025 STAG AND BOAR HUNTING COMPETITION

Welcome to our annual Stag & Boar hunting competition. This is where you can enter online and buy your "tickets" as your official entry.

ENTRY FEE: $40 OPEN

STARTS: 3pm Thursday 29th May

FINISHES: 3pm Sunday 1st June (prizegiving to follow)

WEIGH IN: 1pm-3pm Sunday 1st June

Please read the following as this is where our official rules will be stated. By purchasing tickets you are agreeing to adhere to all competition rules, if you do not read the rules and find your animal/s are disqualified by our weigh masters at weigh in this will be at fault of the entrant.

RULES AND TERMS

• All competitors must be present at prize giving to claim their prize and/or spot prize
• Hunting starts Thursday 29 May at 3pm, the competition and weigh-in closes
at 3pm Sunday 1st June. Prize giving to follow 
• All species to be caught during competition hours only
• All species must be wild and living in natural habitat
• No frozen species will be accepted
• All species must have heads, ears and nuts left intack, gutted and cleaned of offal
• Officials reserve the right to earmark or tag (on the weigh station) any/all species
weighed to avoid confusion as not all species will be hung on display
• Judges decision is final
• The judges reserve the right to withhold prize money on any doubtful entry
• Minimum weight - Pigs or deer 30kg
• All protests to be investigated within 15 minutes of final weigh-in
• The organisers and judges take no responsibility for damages, loss or injury
incurred during this event
• OPEN species numbers per hunter - 2 stags, 2 boars, unlimited hinds
• Only the entered hunter is to catch and present the species at weigh-in and must be
present at the prizegiving to be eligible for prizes, including spot prizes - ID is required for spot prizes and lucky entrant draws.
• Each hunter to weigh in all their species at the same time.
• In the event of a draw, the first animal weighed in will claim the prize
• No species will be weighed in if it smells off or is deemed not fit for human consumption
• Only red deer are to be weighed
• Ground hunting methods only
• Weigh-in time -  from 1pm to 3pm on Sunday 1st June 2025
If you are not in line and acknowledged by the marshall before the weigh-in closes,
you will not be eligible to weigh your species. No late weigh-ins or time extensions
will be given
• Entries close Wednesday 8pm 28 May 2025 – NO EXCEPTIONS. ONLINE ENTRIES ONLY

 
• By entering this competition you acknowledge that you have read, understood and will
comply with the ‘Rules & Terms’ of the Te Puka Hunting and Fishing Club Inc – ‘Stag & Boar Hunting Competition 2025’

Entrants can enter at any age, however the club is not responsible for hunters under the age of 18 and any animals weighed in will be judged as per the Rules & Terms set out above

NO LATE WEIGH-INS, IF YOU ARE NOT IN LINE OR WEIGHED IN BY 3PM SUNDAY 1ST JUNE YOU WILL BE REFUSED AT WEIGH STATION. NO EXCEPTIONS.NO EXCUSES. SOFTWARE WILL NOT RECORD WEIGHTS AFTER 3PM.
